Insurance Verification Supervisor Job Overview:
The Insurance Verification Specialist helps accomplish company goals by providing timely and accurate eligibility and benefit information.
The ideal candidate has intelligence and integrity, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer services skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Verifying patient insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures that our facilities perform are covered by an individual's insurance provider Maintain a timely turnaround for verification's, within an hour Communicating with team lead and/or verification's manager when issues arise Entering data in an accurate manner Updating patient's benefit information in facility's electronic medical record system Re-verifying active patients within assigned facilities Ensuring and verifying that existing patient demographics within the EMR system are accurate and up to date Utilizing online payer resources to research patient insurance information Adheres to documentation protocol Participates in company wide and departmental meetings Commits to providing excellent customer service while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism while working in a team environment to meet goals Understands and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations Skills and Competencies:
Attention to detail, goal oriented Strong teamwork and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently when needed Effective written and oral communication skills Requirements/
Qualifications:
Experience with verifying insurance within medical field Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Salary:
Based on experience Status:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
