Development Manager

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Development professional to join our team as a Development Manager, supporting our New Jersey efforts. This position may be located in either our Morganville or West Deptford offices, with some travel to our Villanova office. As a Development Manager at Devereux, you will support the Regional Development Director in executing Devereux?s fundraising strategies to: 1) strengthen and expand existing relationships and develop new relationships through the cultivation and stewardship of current, lapsed, and prospective corporate and individual donors, including Devereux families with a primary focus on New Jersey constituents; 2) to ensure movement on action plans of Advisory Boards, Center Executive Directors, and other volunteers and internal staff.
In this role, you will perform prospect research, individual and corporate donor solicitation, stewardship efforts, including events and donor communications with a primary focus on New Jersey supporters.

Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate:
Must have at least five years of professional experience in fundraising or sales leadership. Nonprofit experience in behavioral health, healthcare and/or health services setting a plus.
Experience in sponsorship solicitation, major and annual giving and working with board members.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills,outstanding customer service skills, team player attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of deadlines, strong attention to detail and fundraising goals.
Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office Applications.
Bachelor?s degree in Development, Communications, Marketing/Public Relations or related field.
Additional training in charitable giving preferred.
Proficiency with social media platforms, strategy and best practices for businesses.
Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and to travel on regional day trips is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
